Intentional Visions, LLC

Why Intentional Visions LLC?

Discover a Professional Handyman serving you.

I knew that people envisioned their home and businesses looking nice and having everything working conveniently.

But that dream takes work to accomplish and maintain. The result is a “to do list” of fix it jobs interfering with relaxing with family or running a business well. After over 15 years of doing it, I’ve learned how properties require constant  upkeep.

So in 2021, I started offering handyman services as Intentional Visions, LLC to serve the Eau Claire region. I took the training and became a Licensed Dwelling Contractor and a Dwelling Contractor Qualifier and maintain Insurance coverage. That helps me stay current with building codes, regulations, and good business practices.

Customers appreciate that I listen to their to do list and think through which solutions will make their space better. I will explore multiple solutions with you if you want. Problems can have many solutions, but not all of them work out well. Duct tape shouldn’t permanently suspend ceiling lights.

I rely on my knowledge, research, and experience to look at the whole picture and figure out the right solution. Learning new things expands my abilities and keeps me flexible. With many different tools, not every solution becomes a nail waiting for a hammer.

I work well with others. If you want to share or learn a project, I can work alongside you. Or, I can just do the job so you can get to your recreation.

Ask the Intentional Visions, LLC handyman to take many things off your to do list.

How Do I Work?

Contact:

Please contact me directly by phone or email below. Although I accept contacts through Angi, Home Advisor, and Yelp, each one costs me something. I like to keep costs down too.

Consult:

Local estimates are free. Beyond 40 miles from Eau Claire I request a trip charge.

We will set a time to look over and discuss your project(s). Let’s discuss appropriate solutions and any limitations like deadlines, not-to-exceed budgets, site access, and schedules. If you want to work with me to lower the cost, to learn a skill or something about the project, ask what will work. Cleanup takes time so you can decide how much cleaning and disposal you want me to include.

Once I see the project(s), I can estimate timing, materials, and cost. Every project has nuances. Instead of a set project fee, I bill my time, plus the actual cost of materials. If I anticipate possible troubles or options, I may estimate high as well as offer a best case estimate to minimize surprises.

Complicated estimates cost me research and specification time. If you find my estimate useful but don’t have me do the project, consider offering something for my consultation time.

And, if the project looks too big or not a good fit for just me, I can work with you or others to get it done or refer others for you. I don’t hire subcontractors though.

Working:

Once we agree to the job and set the schedule, I’ll purchase needed materials and start the work at the right time. I try to keep customers aware of the project progress, discussing any options or issues that effect the outcome. You can tell me how much input you want to give.

Payments:

Because of bad actors, I don’t accept payment for projects I can’t look at and work on. If you are interested, ask for a few stories why that is the case. For longer jobs I may ask for payment as work is done or materials purchased. Otherwise, I will trust you to pay for work done when it’s completed. Payment should be by cash or check.

Retainers:

A number of customers have called me back for multiple projects over time. If you find my services useful, ask about setting up a retainer arrangement where I schedule a time block each month or two weeks just for your projects. Otherwise, I juggle everyone into a usually busy schedule.

Decision time.
